The World Tour of surfing comes with it’s fair share of stress and pressure. Just ask current World #5 surfer Jordy Smith. So when the tour breaks for almost 2 months after the Rio Pro, many seek to find solitude, and Jordy Smith along with RedBull team member John John Florence were treated to a well deserved Maldives R&R mission. With the world tour about to kick off again with it’s extensive and fast paced legs covering South Africa, USA and Europe, Jordy made the most of what time was on offer.
With moves like this, there’s no wonder why Jordy Smith is being labelled as one of the men to beat in the race for the 2011 world title. The next two events (Mr Price Pro & Billabong Pro J-Bay) are on home turf for the young South African and he’s primed to make his mark.
