Today marks the release of Kai Neville and What Youth’s final installment from the award winning film Dear Suburbia. A rare viral release from Kai and What Youth, Sincerely Suburbia is a final salute to a film and a moment in time they’re rather fond of. Shot around the globe in 2012, Sincerely Suburbia is a nearly 10-minute film pulled from the Dear Suburbia cutting room floor and stars Dane Reynolds, Kolohe Andino, Conner Coffin, Jay Davies and Mitch Coleborn with cameos by Kelly Slater, Taj Burrow and Cory Lopez.
Dear Suburbia’s accolades in 2012 include 2012 Surfer Poll Film of the Year, 2012 Surfer Poll Performance of Year by Dane Reynolds. Other honors include Best Segment in a Film for Dane Reynolds’ performance by the 2012 New York Surf Film Festival, Best Surf Film Soundtrack by the 2012 New York Surf Film Festival as well as Best Cinematography at The London Surf Film Festival.
